2016 End of January Hunt

Paul's ?? Buck shot on Jan 24, 2016 @ ??:??.

Information will have to be updated but speaking with Aaron on his way home Tuesday, Jan. 26, he stated that he shot a 3 pointer on Sunday, Jan 24, out of the Sky Box.  He saw the deer to the west poking it's head out from the planted pines(heading south), and by the time he could get his winter gear off and put sights on the deer, it had moved and a tree was in the way.  Finally the deer made a move and headed south into Periman's property and Aaron was able to get a shot off just before it went into the woods.  After about 30 mins, Aaron when on the hunt....didn't see any blood and thought maybe he had missed.  Looking up, and into the woods, he spotted his buck about 30 yards away.
Monday, Jan. 25, Robb and Paul shot does.(Robb saw 5 more does about a minute after shooting his)  Aaron saw a doe when sitting at the Skybox, it was kind of running south down the north shooting lane, and about 50 yards out it turned into the planted pines where he could see it running towards the SW.  It then popped out in the west shooting lane where it crossed and headed into Periman's property.  Aaron put his sites on it a few times but didn't want to take the shot.
Aaron said that there were alot of fresh scrapes around the property.....

Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2016, Charlie shot a doe in the evening.....

Also Robb and Aaron was able to complete most of the new patio roof on the first day at camp.

2015-2016 New Year's Hunt-Robb, Dan, Johnny, and Charlie made the trip up.  Word prior to the trip up was that camp has received a lot of rain and the rivers and Abby were flooding.

Robb did some scouting around and came across this 8 Point's skeleton that was scattered around and the antlers still attached to the skull.  This was just east of the ridge.
