2011 January Hunt, Jan. 20-30

Well after an interesting start to what we were hoping was going to be another full camp this year, it ended up being a skeleton crew, but possibly the most exciting/productive years the camp has ever seen.  As I(Steve) am writing this, there are still 3 members(Charlie, Robb, and Paul) up at camp trying to get the other couple of BIG deer that have been caught on camera this month.  I just got back yesterday(1/27) and can report that Charlie and I got 2 nice Buck's Monday(1/24) morning at 7:47AM and 7:55AM.  I missed another decent Buck about 5 minutes after finishing off my 6 Point.  Paul and I have 2 decent 8 points on our trail cams out of the North 40.  I jumped at least a nice 4 Point(or small 6 Point) right in back of camp.  And there have been a hand full of other occasions that deer have been jumped and/or caught on trail cams.

2011 New Years Scouting/Hunting Trip

New Year's Hunt in Alabama

This was a planned trip with Robb and Charlie.  Paul and Steve were able to make it up at the last minute for the weekend to get a hunt in as well as help in the start of the Roof addition to camp.

We will be heading back up to Alabama this month to hunt the end of season(and supposively the RUT).  Wish us luck!
